Open House Checklist
Welcome! We are excited to have you here. To assist you in navigating through the various stations, use this checkist. Feel free to go in any order!

• Classroom - Meet your child's teacher and drop off supplies if you have them.
• Office or ELA by the Gym - Stop at either station to get your background check done for the year so you can attend field trips and volunteer.
• Cafeteria - Our Transportation & Food Service will be there to help answer any questions you may have for them!
• Gym - If you are prepared, come get your child's school picture taken for the school year. If you are not ready, there will be a day they can take it this fall!
• Art Room - Come draw your face on a special banner that we will display this year to show you are a Kid Who CARES!
• Library - Come meet and talk to our amazing nurse here!
• Come see the new painting and Shade Structure that was added to Playground the playground this summer thanks to fundraising efforts, and meet someone from Family Council.
• ELA Learn about the WATCH D.O.G.S., Vine Club, Hand to Hand Sack MealProgram.
• Front Lobby - Come meet Behavior Team Members and learn about supports we provide at Kenowa Hills. We also have some free backpacks if you still need one.

Once you have visited each station, come take your picture in the courtyard. There will also be treats for sale in a food truck out front!

Picture Day - August 18 (During the Open House)
Proofs will be available online for previewing and ordering 7-10 days after Picture Day. Geskus Photography will be set up in the gym during Open House. No forms or paperwork needed. Retakes will be October 7th if you don't have a photo taken during Open House.

Back to School Tips & Reminders

• Arrival and Parking: If you plan to walk your child to the school entrance, please park at The Vine Church and walk across the street.
• Say Goodbyes Outside: Parents and visitors will not be permitted inside the building during arrival. Please say your goodbyes outside before your child enters the school.
• K-Knights & Kindergarten: K-Knights and Kindergarten students will meet their teachers at the flagpole each morning.
• We're Here to Help!: Staff members will be stationed throughout the building to help students find their classrooms and make sure everyone gets where they need to go.
• Transportation: Because the first week of school includes two half days (Aug 24 & 28), please make sure your child's teacher knows how your student will be getting home. If your child's transportation changes, please notify the school office BEFORE DISMISSAL.
• Half Day Dismissal: Dismissal on August 24 and August 28 will be at 12:05 pm. Please follow the same parking procedures used during the morning arrival. K-Knights & Kindergarten students will be dismissed from the flagpole approximately 5 minutes before the rest of the school to help make pickup easier for families.
